Festival

Festival lets a city see itself in one civic day.

A Polis format is a constraint system for real-world contact: small enough to be human, specific enough to be memorable, and private enough to let people be honest.

Seasonal frame

Four seasonal Festivals per year: winter hearth, spring repair, summer commons, and autumn assembly.

Mixed-format day plan

Morning Gymnasium, noon citizen-amateur sessions, afternoon Agora and Theater rooms, evening Symposium tables, late Aleatory draws.

No-vendor / no-sponsor rule

No vendor marketplace and no sponsor placement. Invariant I5 extends here: the room is not for sale.

Citizen-amateur signup

Citizens can offer a song, repair skill, reading, walk, garden lesson, or meal without buying prominence.

Start with the directory, then choose the room.

Every format routes to the same institutional promise: no ads, no data sale, no pay-to-play matching, and no public status game.
