## One-Page Brief

Social Media 2 is public civic infrastructure for offline reconnection in the United
States. It helps citizens move from digital media back into real-world
gatherings: Symposium, Agora, Gymnasium, Theater, Festival, and Aleatory.

The product is not a social content stream, dating app, or event listing board. It is a
cooperative system that protects private citizen state, rejects advertising and
paid matching advantage, and uses public governance records so the institution
can be inspected before it asks citizens to trust it.

Founding membership is organized city by city. The public promise is simple:
citizens should spend less time in the app and more time in rooms where weak
ties, strong friendships, shared reading, disagreement, and civic life can form.

## Approved Soundbites

1. Social Media 2 helps citizens leave the screen and meet in serious, bounded rooms.
2. Social Media 2 is built around offline gatherings, sortitioned governance, and no
   attention marketplace.
3. Social Media 2 measures civic reconnection, not app time.
